Priority Dates
Freshmen and Transfer Students
All freshmen and new transfer students seeking Academic scholarships and Grants, Athletic Grants, and/or Need-Based Grants must file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The awarding of financial aid is done on an on-going basis. However, priority consideration is given to students who file the FAFSA by March 15th for the fall term and November 15th for the spring term.
Returning Students
All returning students must file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) (or the Renewal Form sent from the federal government) by March 15th of each year. All supporting documents must be received by May 1st each year. In order to assure use of estimated aid on their bill, all returning students must have their application file finalized by June 15th each year for the fall term.
To maximize receipt of funds, students should apply as early as possible as many types of aid are limited.
Please note: All students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) annually. This form is available in High School Guidance Offices, Dominican University’s Student Financial Services (formerly Financial Aid and the Bursar’s office) and over the internet at http://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa.
Please indicate Dominican University’s code 002713 when you complete the FAFSA form.
